iOS Engineer

We are currently seeking an IOS Engineer to join a growing company that takes pride in quickly delivering ground breaking apps and appreciates the camaraderie and focus of a small team in a startup culture.

Responsibilities

  • Translate designs and wireframes into high quality code

  • Design and build advanced applications for the iOS platform

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features

  • Work with outside data sources and APIs

  • Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability

  • Work on bug fixing and improving application performance

  • Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization

  • Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency

Requirements

  • 3+ years of hands-on iOS programming experience in Swift and Objective C

  • Strong knowledge of iOS SDKs, different versions of iOS, and how to deal with different screen sizes

  • Capable communicators passionate about product development and user experience.

  • Strong knowledge of iOS UI design principles, patterns, and best practices

  • Knowledge of the open-source iOS ecosystem and the libraries available for common tasks

  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git

  • Proven software development experience and iOS skills development

  • Proven working experience in iOS app development and have published at least one original iOS app

  • Experience working with remote data via REST and JSON

  • Experience with third-party libraries and APIs

  • Working knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies

  • Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle.

Bonus Qualifications:

  • Experience with Bluetooth 4.0+ and Core Bluetooth & Location SDKs

  • Experience with Fitness apps and/or a health & fitness enthusiast 

  • iOS development experience

  • Degree in computer science, computer information systems, or other technical degree.

  • 1+ years of experience with C#, Python, or other high level programming language
